“It should look like a post-apocalyptic bunker meets 80’s space station”.

What could be more enjoyable than beginning a project with a brief like that, and a blank canvas with no limitations, together with a dedicated team, and a partner in crime that shares similar interests?

Dephion having its own podcast/recording studio was not just a luxury, but a necessity. With the increasing volume of voice-overs and podcasts being created (previously outsourced), it made perfect sense to establish an in-house facility in the building for producing these contents.

Styling & Design

Besides the essential audio-technical requirements for setting up a podcast recording studio, we also needed to ensure that the room’s aesthetics aligned with Dephion’s vision. Drawing inspiration from movies like Star Wars and 2001: A Space Odyssey, we embarked on a mission to decorate the room accordingly. We spared no effort, incorporating neon-led strips, acoustic panels, and metal grids, until the original brief was fully realized.

Go ahead and press the red button; it won’t initiate the self-destruct sequence… or will it?

SPACE IT UP!

Who can resist the allure of neon signs? The room simply wouldn’t be complete without one, and it presented the perfect opportunity for branding the space.

Contrary to common notions, art isn’t just about adding a little spice – it has the power to transform. And thus, the concept of “Space it up!” was born.

Knock, knock. Who’s there?

It wouldn’t be logical to ignore the door while the rest of the room was being themed. Furthermore, every space station requires an entry point, doesn’t it?

To achieve a futuristic appearance, 3D software was utilized to generate a texture for the door. To add to that, several sheets of personalized acrylic were layered together to create a futuristic-looking window for the door.

Behind the scenes

From conception to execution and all points in between — watching a dream become real (and exceeding expectations!) is a singular thrill.
